Louise Higgins is founder of Aspire Design and her Interior Design courses explore all aspects of Interior Design. In addition to being a leading Interior Designer, Louise is also a qualified trainer. Louise is delighted to offer a number of Interior Design courses and workshops which offer hands on advice and expertise which will help you create your own designer home. The courses take place in our elegant training room at the Aspire Design Studio giving students enviable access to our extensive fabric and wallpaper library.

Create your Designer Home

Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm – 9:00pm

This course is packed full of helpful tips to help give your home the wow factor. Topics include; - colour schemes and the psychology of colour, creating focal points, feature walls, choosing the right window treatment for your room, choosing fabric, introducing texture, use of trimmings and accessories, room layout and how to maximise your space, mood lighting, etc. The course will also include guest speakers whom are highly experienced in their fields of expertise. Max 8 per class.

Cost €135 for the course including refreshments, materials and notes. In addition all students whom enrol on this course are also entitled to a 10% discount voucher on Aspire Designs Fabric and Wallpaper Collections.

Interior Design Workshop

Tuesday and Saturdays from 10:30am – 16:30pm
Min 4 per class Max 8 per class

The morning starts with a coffee/tea and a bite, followed by advice on how to pick and choose items to suit your room, ranging from wall paints, wallpaper, flooring, curtains, blinds, lighting, furniture and accessories.  You will be shown how to choose fabrics, pick window treatments and how to arrange your furniture.

Lunch is followed by participants making a mood board for their chosen room which will include all the topics covered in the morning session. Participants will have access to the Studios extensive materials and fabric/wallpaper books to get inspiration on the day. Notes on topics covered will be handed out for your reference at the end of the day.

If people have questions regarding their own house they are very welcome to discuss them with me on the day and to bring any fabric samples, window measurements or photos with them.

Cost €75 for the day including lunch, other refreshments, materials and notes. In addition all students whom enrol on this course are also entitled to a 10% discount voucher on Aspire Designs Fabric and Wallpaper Collections.

We will also be running the following workshops in 2011/2012:

• Create your own Headboard (Here students will learn how to create their own headboard)
• Working with Colours (This includes the psychology of colour, paint finishes/textures, colour schemes etc)
• Curtain Explained (Different curtain heading styles, how to choose your fabric, how to measure for curtains, curtain trimmings, repeat patterns, etc)

Terms and Conditions
Participants must pay their course/workshop fees at time of enrolment to ensure their place on the course. Where a student is unable to attend a pre-booked workshop or course, providing we receive 14 days notice in writing, the Workshop fee will be transferred, less a €10 administration fee.  Aspire Design reserves the right to make any changes to any course content or programme if necessary, including the cancellation of any studio course or workshop with full refund offered to the student.
